I live on Nusa Penida Island, in Southeast Asia.
All you can do is be yourself, and don’t try to be anyone else. If people do not like you, ignore their opinion – it really doesn’t matter. We cannot change people or their personalities. If someone hurts me, I can cut them out of my life. I am OK with doing that because some people are not nice. I am good to all people, but I know that they come and go.
Oh, one more thing – be strong! Life is hard. Try not to let yourself get overwhelmed. Women are not as physically tough as men, but inside we are extremely strong.
Fun Fact: There are over forty-one different villages on my island where I have lived for all thirty-one years of my life.
